BetterImage is a browser-based editor for the images that travel with published content: link preview cards, video thumbnails, feed posts, stories and pins. Its core mechanic is designing a card once and exporting it at six platform sizes - the 1200x630 Open Graph format, 1280x720 for YouTube, 1080x1080 and 1080x1350 for Instagram, 1080x1920 for stories, and 1000x1500 for Pinterest. Layouts recompose automatically on square and vertical canvases, and story exports keep text clear of the zones where platform interfaces draw their own controls.

The editor runs without an account. Four template engines (article card, profile, testimonial, minimal statement) come with several dozen presets organized by use case and format, each with per-element typography, color presets, texture overlays and image placement options. Pasting a link prefills a card from the page's own meta tags, and a free link preview checker shows how a URL unfurls across X, LinkedIn, Slack and Discord while validating its Open Graph tags.

For automation, saved templates render over an HTTP API: signed image URLs can be placed directly into an og:image tag, so every page of a blog or changelog gets its own preview without a build step.

The preview shown while editing is the exact file downloaded.

Downloads are free with a small corner watermark; a one-time $4.99 payment removes it from every size of a design. API plans start at $9 per month for 500 clean renders. The audience skews toward developers, indie makers and writers who publish regularly.
